Bob Dylan arrived in New York in 1961 with a guitar and a headful of Woody Guthrie songs, and as the film, “A Complete Unknown” portrays, spent his first years in folk music, writing such classics as “Blowing In The Wind” and “The Times They Are A-Changing,” the beautiful “To Ramona,” the wise “With God On Our Side,” and the transcendant “Mr. Tambourine Man.” He crossed into contemporary music with “Like A Rolling Stone” “Just Like A Woman” and “Lay Lady Lay,” while continuing the lyrical brilliance that won the Nobel Prize. This concert will celebrate the early work of one of the great poets and songwriters of all time, through his music and words.
